Yesterday we sat her on the scales. Minus the aluminum (short) body panels, (maybe what 20 lbs) and the fire bottle it weighed in at 1,401 with me in it (no suit or helmet) It's 12 lbs heavy on the R/R.

Sounds do not always count.Lil brothers RED is one of best sounding power wise at the track but we are normally slowest. Then we are running mild 496 and most of the others in brackets are 580 + and cost 3 or 4 times as much.

Hopefully AFaulk your is oppisite and will rock the track.

So Bill you shopping for new aluminum block now?

You said you dropped a 130 already so that should put you over 200 off.  Anyone know differance in iron SBC and aluminum one. I know on bbc its right about deadon a 100 lbs.

Well, I didn't make any money today but I saved some. Fabbed up a blower belt guard out of some 1/8" moly plate with some moly tube for standoffs. Similar ones from Good Vibes Racing are $139 plus shipping. My plasma cutter needs a new tip. Man what a struggle  :P. There's another pound or so including bolts.

Checked over, loaded and off to Picton Airfield in about an hour. Nervous for sure. Wonder how the new manifold and headers will do. Weather looks good. Sunny and clear although cool.

Nothing today. Spent 14 hours yesterday straightening up her room.  Ok I was trying to make room for me to work on the car some. I think it should be a law that all houses come with a garage thats equal to or bigger than the house. How do they expect someone to get a topf fuel car in to a 22' garage?

Thanks 225,

I had a commercial building we ordered and got screwed out of by the company.United Steel building's total scam. I had a 5000 sq ft shop with 1200 sq ft apartment designed into the top of it with offices up front for business. Thanks for reminiding me about that $17,500 hole in my back side.Ended up loosing the lot and all in the end.  Agree about awsome part and by the way I hate you.LOL

I had a longggg day yesterday. Went to Commerce, Ga and watched the big boys run. Geez, those things are too fast. More high tech stuff than the space shuttle. Came home after a 15 hr day with my tail feathers dragging.
