Let's see, made 3, quarter inch thick spacers to go between the torque conv. and flexplate, to compensate for the quarter inch thick motor plate. Then, the starter wouldn't bolt up to the block because of interference with the vertical next the motor plate. Removed .300 from the end of the aluminum block that the starter is mounted into. Problem solved! Then went out into the pasture and got my zero turn mower stuck :'(.... Took my dually (4wheel drive) out into the pasture and got it stuck :o.....Called my neighbor and he brought his Lull extendaboom loader into the pasture and he got stuck :o. Turns out I was able to get the Lull unstuck because of previous experience operating similar equipment  8).  Then with yours truly operating said machine, was able to pull pickup out of pasture and aforementioned zero turn culprit  :P. Lesson learned...should have just stayed in the shop and worked on the dragster and waited for summer b4 venturing forth into said pasture. SO HOW WAS YOUR AFTERNOON?

:D I like it, sounds like you're planning on making some noise. I bought a drum the other day also. As always it says 99.9% pure. I know what to add for the extra .1%  8)

We started the car for the first time this past Saturday. One of my friends came by to watch. Afterwards he sugested that we drop off the body panels at his place so he can paint them.  :)

Just outstanding!

First start up is always great.

One objection, I have been calling myself the fat old guy on my web site for a long time.

It is interesting how race team names come about. We are Throttle Stop Racing.

The name came about when we rebuilt the engine in a Firebird I was running and it ran a tenth slower. We could not find a reason for it until it was discovered that the throttle cable bracket on the intake had been installed backwards and the carb was not opening up all the way.

I felt really smart that day.

Lately it's been crazy around here, the old woman that lives here LOL, had surgery on her neck a couple months ago and then got bitten last Sunday by a Brown Recluse spider. We've been at the Dr. every day since. Those are some bad spiders.  I did get out to the shop for a while today and fabbed a pair of burndown tubes, (el cheapo at work again) and mounted them on my valve covers. Cool and damp here in N. Alabama.
