FED /nostalgia meets??
« on: August 02, 2013, 04:57:39 AM »
Just curious, most of you on here that have cars up & running, do you usually just go to your local strip, and bracket race, go to exhibition match races, or , are there actually enough vintage drag races in your area that their is a "regular " series?...I am going to build a car because I have a local outlaw track , almost within walking distance, but it might be fun to travel once in a while...I know Milan usually has a couple "vintage" events a year...any others in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana??? Thanks , Shawn

I run with the Nostalgia Quick Series Association. We are central Illinois based. We are not a large group but have quality cars. Our series is all 1/8 mile racing. The slowest dial is 4.99 et.The next race is at Central Illinois Dragway, September 7th. CID is online and you can checkout photos at http://www.danricksphotos.com/.  The track website is http://www.centralillinoisdragway.com/

If I lived closer to a track I would go more often.  Right now there's 5 nostalgia races within 3hrs driving time so I will be going to those.

Otherwise its a trailer/car show queen.

Check out the NDRL (nostalgiadragleague.com). Looks to be a real successful operation
in the central part of the country.
