If you decide to go with a belt driven oil pump, install the fuel pump to it also, that way when the pump fails or belt breaks the engine stops running and don't tear it up running it without oil pressure

If the belt breaks it's more than likely because the pump seized and it'll be too late by then anyways. Have not seen both pumps driven off the same belt before. In line with each other, but not side by side.

My statement was in regards to install in-line. Back in my Sprint/Midget days, belt drives were an issue. I still fail to see any measurable benefit to a D-S system in what we do
