car cover for FED
« on: September 06, 2016, 08:22:51 PM »
Topic on another site about best cover for dragster.Got me to wondering if anyone makes a car cover to fit a FED? Since mines going to travel out in the great open for while it would be nice to be able to cover her up when not on road.Already have cpl pieces on drawing board for keeping motor and cockpit dry during travel so simple cover for whole car would be bonus.

I saw several full covers on FEDs at the Nationals in Indy this weekend.  They might have been custom made but they all looked very nice.

Yes we have a real nice cover to cover our 225 wb JrFueler, I'll have to get to the trailer in a couple of days to let you know the brand.

Most of the places that make boat covers can make a cover for you. Check around High Rock lake marinas.

California car cover.....light weight and easy to keep on the golf cart. I also found that gas grill covers work great for the engine. They can be bought on line pretty cheap ...they also fit the tool boxes!

CCCover....sent me a drawing of an altered for me to take measurements for mine. I'm sure they would have a dragster pic.

Check out boat covers designed to fit boats with outboard motors.  Fits great over the roll cage.

I have a water proof cover that goes over engine and drivers compartment. They can be made pretty easy.

coupemerc – I see dragtarp back in business and just looked at their Brand New advertisement, they're now located in Colorado.  In response to your question, their ad states “constructed from the finest heavy duty 100% waterproof denier material which is a polyester fabric with a vinyl embossed back that will not scratch your finish.”  Custom fit and cost between $400-575 each... one more option.  Alan

I got responses back from both Cal car covers and covercraft, covercraft was more money and they make them for Cal car covers.  around the $350 range
