I've heard that mounting the poppet valves "hard" to the pump will allow vibrations to unseat the poppets and cause problems during a run. I've included a pic of what I currently have set up for my high speed and main. Should I change it to where they both are mounted by flexible lines?
This set up looks ok and was fairly easy to plumb but I will change it if there could be issues.

By the way thanks Spud for all the help and pieces to get this thing rolling. And yes we did weld the inside of the header flange. I could stand on them before but better safe than sorry. ;D

 Looks great! Thanks for posting pics.

 A main check valve is open all the time the motor is running, so no problem with having it mounted directly in the pump. If your system pressure is fairly low and your high-speed is sprung less than about 60 PSI or so, I would avoid putting it directly on the pump. If it's shimmed up to open higher than that, you're probably not going to have any issues with vibration.
