Does anyone recognize this car?
« on: February 23, 2015, 03:09:26 AM »
I decided to get permission to post this picture of my car to see if anyone can come up with any history.
The photo is from a race at Cayuga Canada in the late 70's.
I also had to change my profile. The car is 10 years newer than I thought.

BK Looking at the number on the car it is division 1 . Also looks like a Comp Eliminator car . Call the division 1 office and ask if they have a record of that number and who had it . You have my interest about this car .

Tommy Shellman c/ed Honeyoye Falls NY . But I don't think that was the original owner . That car looks a lot like a car that was raced in Top Gas by Richie Schott who was also from NY

Top gas would help explain the floater rear. But I'm not convinced its the same car. Honeoye Falls is not that far from where I'm at that would make sense. The more I look at that Top Gas car the more I'm convinced it's a different car. My car didn't have any bracket for the radius rods to the front axel. The rods bolted directly to the axle tube closer to the spindles. That chassis has a lot more angle in the lower rail by the front of the engine.
