Ronnyhotrod – for running in the 10s, 2x3 .120 wall rectangular tubing is more than adequate for your lower chassis tube.  NHRA chassis certifying process will focus right in your driver’s compartment area.  There are roll cage tubing size and placement requirements that must be met.  Grinding of welds prohibited.  Minimum ground clearances must be met, although not so much a concern with your Gasser style race car.  Front suspensions are required for a short wheelbase, like your Prefect.  Alan
