Yes a roller bearing tail housing requires a different yoke. Either is fine, as long as the alignment is corret the wear should be minimal.

That is normal with a glide, as long as you can stop it easily I would say you are good to go.

They are all pretty much thesame minus the dump restrictor that Reid has.

If you are wanting to move your current gears and stuff into a shorty carrier, I have several used shorty 1.76 carriers. Some with an after market shaft welded in and some stock that have been shortened.

1/8" to 3/16" is the range, change your shins to get in this range.

If the brake was hit during the run it would have locked up the rear tires in low and done nothing in high (unless its a high gear leave type VB). Im leaning more towards the piston getting cocked in the case. If you are running gaskets make sure they are ok, I have seen them tear and create a "flap" the could hold some pressure in the cavitive. Make sure you have .050 to .070 clearence I lean more towards .070. Good luck with finding the issue.

Not sure what springs you have now, but putting weaker springs in will slow it down, I have several customers using stock springs. Also you can orfice the feed hole in the case. Most are drilled at 5/16" you can go as small as 7/32".

No shield is needed when you have an aftermarket case with a current cert.

Glad the gasket cured your issue, but adding .100 to the end play is a huge amount, hope you adderssed this. The extra end play should be taken up from the rear inorder to keep the drum up on the pump correctly.

Hope it takes care of the issue.

Definitely check your converter feed passages input shaft sealing rings and cooler passages in the pump all of these could directly cross feed into the vent circuit causing your issue.

Im headed to the shop today, I will trace the vent circuit through the pump to find all possible cross feeds, sounds like an issue with the pump for sure.
