Front Engine Dragsters / Re: Questions about a flathead FED.
« on: April 09, 2014, 02:46:06 AM »
sure thing, plus I found it interesting you mention stock fh but "cam" in your post so I was thinking you knew a little bit about fh engines.  If you ran a stock fh with stock cam, they're good to about 4000rpms.  In the quarter, you'd hit the 1/8 mile and then... be like letting off the throttle the rest of the way, probably be high 16s...   DF
Hi DF, I think he was meaning stock flathead with diffrent cam,, BTW I'm going to run a 3.70 in the comp coupe,, Tim Jones

When I say I'm a fossil collector, that's kind of an understatement, When I do something,, like my racing, I normally get carried away,,,,, Here's some of my fossils I've found ,the best find was a mostly complete Four tusker mastodon ( A 10 million year old type of Elephant) That's the reconstruted skull behind me in the pic,, Tim Jones

Where did t-rex come from?

I just got a ruse bud and have found many uses for it.
It was from the Dino display that's been at the Omaha Zoo where I work, They were dismanteling all of them up at the shop, It was a display of 14 life size robotic dinos, Pretty cool deal our year lease just ended, I've been a fossil hunter since I was a kid and my Grand kids are all dino nuts , so it was fun while it was here,, BTW a Rosebud is almost a must have tool for tweaking parts,, Tim Jones
