Front Engine Dragsters / wheel disc

I just bought a aluminum wheel disc for my front wheels and was wondering what was the best way to mount it. There are 3 small clips with it, do they get riveted on on what is the proper way?

Matt Shaff's Engine Shop / Style oil filter
« on: February 17, 2019, 08:40:27 AM »
I was just wondering what style of filtering system or oil filter type and make everyone uses in there alcohol engines. Had a couple of oiling system problems in the past and don't want that mistake again.

Looking at purchasing a new sbc shortblock from Shafiroff and debating on which one. Have a set of Promaxx 225 heads and my Hilborn stack injection. Have a set of 4.30's in the pumpkin and not sure which way to go. 421 or 434.

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: Cost to build a new fed????
« on: January 20, 2017, 02:36:45 PM »
I built mine from a scratch kit from S and W race cars, i think it probably cost close to 15 than 10. Lots of things to consider your convertor wont work due to weight, all the little stuff that matters a lot and costs a lot.  I built mine and if I did it again I would buy one and modify it to what i want.

Front Engine Dragsters / Not sure whats going on.
« on: July 26, 2016, 06:55:36 AM »
I have my car running again after changing out my latest new motor which only made 6 passes before my oil filter collapsed and starved the engine, not nice. But I seem to have a different problem with my new set up. When i apply the transbrake it seems to starve some power from the MSD box and it takes a second before the motor comes up to speed but only a short sec. I have tried  this without using the trans brake and there is no hesitation at all. My battery may have been a bit low but I've charged it since and have not tried it. Is it possible I was short of some voltage and it caused this or do I have to wire my brake directly into my battery as now it comes off the same main harness?

Thank you. I loved the old fighting Irish colors.

Got the new engine in from Kenny Gilmour Motorsports and got the car outside for the first time with the new paint this year, only 53 days to racing in Alberta.
