Title: Anyone have information on AA/GD Ohio area from mid 60s-70s
Post by: BBQRon on March 27, 2016, 08:34:48 AM
Looking for anyone that has any information, pictures etc... from Ohio tracks from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. I raced a AA/GD and ran at Quaker City, Norwalk, National Trail, Dragway 42, Thompson, Marion, & several I cant even remember. Qualified 4th in Top Gas at the 1968 Nationals. I have very few pictures of my old cars, but tons of memories. Any help appreciated.

I used to work for Jim Minnick-AA/GD. Car was the NITRO GASSER. First AA/GD to successfully use a 426 Hemi. He won the last Nationals held in Kansas. He is no longer with us. I have a good deal of memorabilia that I have found. I also was @ the old shop in Feb. [Now a Diesel Engine Rebuild Shop] and they had some old stuff that I was given. Al

I remember Jim Minnick's 426, I think we raced Jim in the MidWest. I'm sorry I don't have many photos, and then again only a few of our Parisey-Hansen Dual BBC Top Gas dragster. I have one at Cincy and one at Edgewater the only ones I have in Ohio, but I have some in Indy, Bowling Green, Union Grove, Wi.
