Title: Tank vent
Post by: wideopen231 on December 18, 2015, 03:59:16 PM
I don't see a problem with this, but if I could see everything I would have won the lottery few times. I have a 1/2" line welded into top front of tank running back to rear and down w/#8 so I can cap it off when not at track to keep moisture and dirt out.If questionable I cam add another line on left side.

Pump is 7gpm DSR using less than half and return to tank. Also #6 return. Any flow problems anyone forsee?

Close off the bottom outlet and fill the tank with water, tip the tank at 45* (fluid angle @ 1g) and remove the outlet cap. If the fluid exits completely  as a strong steady flow, your fine---any surging of fluid and you will have to re-think the vent.
