Title: Where to start?
Post by: msundstrom on December 14, 2014, 06:53:45 PM
Spud,
So I added 40 cubic inches to my engine so do I start over with a methanol baseline and then adjust from there as I increase nitro % or pull some timing out and fatten up my previous 30-40% tuneups and adjust from there? I've compared pill change trends on your calculator and it does not seem to be that much richer.
Thanks

 Hi Mark!

No need to start over. I'd feed your previous tuneup/motor combo into the FIE web calculator and get it telling you the right answer - fudge the VE until it gives you the pill you had good performance with. Then just recalculate for the bigger engine size.

If the compression ratio is higher, you might back up one pill step to start with, but that's all you'd need to do. Come out swing'in with 40 more cubes in 2015!
