Put together sbc with new solid lifter cam.Would it be safe to test run for a short time without water? How long would be safe? Have VR-1 race oil.

Engine going in FED. Will have cooling system,but not sure what type fuel.Owner just wanders if he should take back apart.

Bracket raced my fed for 20 years. Runs 5.60s 1/8mi ,delay box on bottom bulb.When racing faster dragster I see the front wheels 20ft before they see mine,helps with finish line racing.Cut a good light,dail it tight,Bring home the cash!!! Have won my share.

Jon's Wheel House / slow leak

My weld front wheel has a slow leak at bead.Have resealed three times. When air drops to 25psi,starts leaking again!! Would fix-a flat stop this?The air will drop due to cold temps,then the leak at the bead restarts.Only one tire does this.Can't see a thing wrong with tire or rim.

replacing trans shield,do you have to install lower strap? Have a heavy duty after market deep pan. The pan is thicker than lower strap!

I have been told if my sbc N/A on alcohol runs faster with headers verse zoomies I should switch to 1.6 rockers on exhaust valve.My fed did pickup .03 to .05 with headers. This is same day testing,a-b-a.Would 1.6 rockers help or have I met someone just with rockers to sell? I bracket race and will not remove the zoomies!!!!

Front Engine Dragsters / water pump & spark plug help

Need new water pump for my sbc.What flow rate should I look for? This is a full body F.E.D. I Also want to try hotter spark plug,using ngk R5672A-8,can't find info on hotter plug. Does anyone make a shorter plug,in this heat range. #7 and #8 need to lift motor to replace! Greatfull for any info.

Running sbc with PG. Shift at 6200 fallback is 5200.Runs 5.60s@117mph 1/8mi. Using Valvoline synthetic dextron VI. is this to much fallback?

1500# fed with 406sbc,220cc rhs heads,with crower stack injection on alcohol.Should be 12.5-1 compression with 64cc heads.With zoomie headers,1.76pg,4.56 gears,what cam spec should I look for?

Using dextron VI fluid and having good service. Would ATI 20wt. be more stable with viscosity at temps in the 180* to 200* range.This is p-g with cooler.I bracket race, looking for repeatable proformance.

Installed valve and spring from old V-B [.oo2] smaller.Spring is shorter,with lighter coils.Had to take .01 out of box,but printing time slips. First race with replacement valve,made to final round.Thanks for the help

Transbrake release gets slow as trans heats up. The pattern is .007 rt 040 rt .080 rt. At first I thought it was me.Adding air in tires,changing 2 step all make small improvement,but pattern remains.New BTE valve body[not pro brake].I am using dexron VI synthetic.The dragster prints time slips the first two runs,but will loose .02-.03 in 330ft on third run.Trans temp at 150* on all runs.What going on?

Front tire is fixed.Bead of RTV sealer on bead of tire.Looked good in water tank so far.
