Sounds correct, but from what I have read, not much changing other than giving authority to break up groups of more than 10, so we may possibly still be able to do some test and tune if it is done the same way as last weekend

Thanks for linking it for.
And thanks Greg it has been a challenge to get it to behave. I'm glad I got to go last weekend because it looks like my states governor has went into total panic mode and closed the state today

Videos are on my facebook and I shared to the front engine dragster group. Not computer savvy enough to post them here

It is a narrow one. Not much room for error. It's the only place I have ever hurt one of my cars in fact. I bounced the T-bird funny car off the rail there 15 or so years ago.

I think I finally have this car sorted out after a long struggle with launch handling and a few carb issue. I went down to Piedmont dragway 2 weeks ago and worked on the carb troubles and finally on the last pass the car went 4.93 @137 and straight as a string. Well after 2 weeks of wondering if it was a lucky run or if the car was actually working right, today I got to go to Elk Creek dragway which is only about an hour from home and make a few runs. All within .02 of each other, with a best of 4.99 @ 138, and again no ill handling off the line so I think I now have a car I can go racing with if we get to have a race season this year

Get ahold of Mike Walters up at elk creek dragway. They have approval to do a test and tune Saturday. They are doing it in groups of ten in three shifts. Not sure how many spots he has left open but I'm going on 3-5 PM group. PM me if you want his phone number

I must say even though vision is limited with the dragster, it is much better than the funny car were

Front Engine Dragsters / Gloves ?

Anyone have good suggestions on how to measure for glove sizing? I've been wearing my old funny car gloves and there is no size tag in them. And since I live in the middle of nowhere there's no chance of being able to try any on. So other than to just guess and chance trying to return wrong sizes, how do I go about getting a pair that fit?

Will a set of drum brakes stop a lightweight car at the speed you'll be running? Probably will, but for the few hundred bucks a set of wilwoods cost, do you really want to take that chance? And after buying good shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders and drums, how much will you really save? I can say after just rebuilding stock Mopar brakes on my 69 road runner 8 3/4 rear, that doing drum brakes correctly isn't all that cheap. And after having to spin a funny car out to stop it several years back because of having old Hurst brakes on it, you really do not want to take chances with the braking system. If you do want to save a few bucks, shop around for a good used set of drag racing brakes. Just my 2 cents,

My car is 178" wb, and I have a full length glide coupled straight into a 9". Irun a BBC and by the Et's I'm guessing right around 600hp. It has taken me quite a few runs to get the car dialed in to a point where it will run straight and be consistent, so I would say you should be fine at the power level you are wanting. Just set the wheelie bar low at first and see and it goes

Thanks Greg. That was what I had read, so -5 is correct then? Just wanted to make sure I was reading it correctly before ordering the wrong stuff

I got a -15 suit. My question was about the gloves and shoes

Just bought a new -15 Sparco suit from Biondo to replace my long out of date one that I had been using. Must say it is a lot lighter and feels like it's going to be cooler in the summer as well. Now I need to get new gloves and shoes to go with it. Am I reading the rules correctly that 3.3/5 is the rating needing for those? Car is naturally aspirated but no floor over the transmission
