Update!
Went and took my 6 runs for my 4A licence and everything went great. A few red lights but had a 008 and 003 lights. Not bad after 10 years of not racing. Need to practice/seat time. The car did 9.30 145. I was leaving off the brake at 4000. By the end I was getting comfortable. First run forgot to put my head back and rang the roll bar! lol Learn by my mistakes. Big thanks to this site and all the help from the fellows on here! Its a fun ride! Got it a little bouncy on one run. I just got off the brakes then back on lightly until it settled down. Any suggestions on stopping the bounce? Thanks guys!(now I just need to get a gopro or something like that. We all like videos! lol)
Barry.

I bought the eastwood tig 200 as it was on sale and shipping to Canada wasn't too bad. Lots of schooling on utube and taking your time. Mr Tig, weldingtipsandtricks and chuckE2009 are great! I tacked my repairs and had a couple tig pros make it pretty LOL. Steel is fairly easy but aluminum is challenging.

My first try with the bead roller. Made the engine pan. Had a Friend weld it up and now just need to make some brackets to install.

Update!
I've been working on the rail quite a bit. Blasted the powder coat off.(PITA!) and painted it with epoxy black. Just in case I needed to add or change anything. finished cleaning and lubing the front end. nice and smooth now with no binding. put the engine, trans and rear end in. all straight and even. now time to finish all the little stuff. 38 days to go until I get my licence. here is a couple pics. front, side wiring and gauges and coil.

Hey Fedders, I bought the profox 2 pc. set as they had the large blue jacket in stock now. it fits better than my 1 pc. insulated coveralls I used for fit-up! think Canada and -25c to work outside lol there fairly thick.

Another one lol.
Had a friends son come and do the welding for me. He did a nice job. boilermaker by trade. has lots of coil tubing and stainless experience. Now all I need to do is all of the little brackets to install everything. about 3 weeks from now, will get it blasted and a nice coat of epoxy. Just in case I need to add something. A lot straighter than before.

Front Engine Dragsters / wires etc from driver to front
« on: January 31, 2016, 08:32:45 PM »
Hello Fedders!
Progress is coming along good. I'm waiting for my welder to get back from up north. In the mean time I'm trying to figure out routing of the wiring and cables. When I received my car, the wiring and cables were run beside the midplate. can I do this again?
One main power for the cab compartment, power shutoff cable, coil wires to the dist., throttle cable and a few small wires for relays in front.
Thanks
Barry

Dam thieves. I was thinking of something like an alarm with a hidden switch on my trailer.
You would think with the technology of today, there would be an inexpensive alarm that would dial your phone when set off.
Hmmmm internet search time.
Quick look on Utube and this fellow has a good setup on his trailer.

you could even get one of those alarms that notify your phone!
more looking.........

I'll make a template out of hard board. Another good idea! Thanks.
Also one more question for now..... I'm  putting a nice full length belly pan in. Do I need a floor pans or just a guard to keep my feet from falling down? Like a heel stop/rest?

Thanks Roo!
I'll check out Franks or just make something.
I looked online for a similar setup but no luck.
It's coming together. 140 days until the first race!
