Dan, mine was plastic, less than 10 seconds with a screwdriver and its out.  Got breather tank ordered from Good Vibrations, be here next week, problem solved.  Thanks for your help.     Scott

What is the easiest, best way to remove stock unit from case?    I want to try to do this with tranny in dragster.

Dan, can that be tapped with the tranny assembled or do you need to gut the case?

Matt, I already had them gapped at .035 when I asked this question. I was sure my 7AL2 and pro power coil would jump that gap. My sprint car friends like these Autolite plugs, but I'm with you, I will keep an eye on them, I know most everyone runs NGK.  Thanks guys for all the help.

Bill, with yours plumbed through the plenum the gas will get there first, that's why I was wondering about mine plumbed through the distribution block. There will alky left in the block, so whatever I prime with will push this alky out first, actually doing the priming.  I like your solenoid to prevent the plenum vaccum from emptying your tank.

I just added an on board primer system to my SB chevy, N/A, injected alcohol dragster.  I was curious as to what you guys used to prime with? I think the leftover alcohol in the distribution block and port lines will actually do the priming, so I was just going to use alcohol. I didn't know if guys used a gas/alky mix or straight gas, or if alky is fine.  Plumbed through an Enderle primer checkvalve into distribution block.

Just pondering the best plug gap for my application. I use Autolite 3924 plugs, recommended by my sprint car buddies, I have a 336 SB chevy, injected alcohol, 13.2 cr, aluminum heads, Msd 7al2, msd pro power coil, msd pro billet distributer.  Powerglide, with 4200 stall, in 225" rear engine dragster.

Thanks you two, got it done, you really have to look hard to tell which bracket goes thru the other.  With bodywork on car you won't be able to see it at all.  Didn't take much, I don't think strength or safety was compromised.

Have any of you guys had to modify the lower bracket of a Powerglide shield?  It looks like mine will hit my cable bracket before I get back to the bolt hole. Rule book does not say lower section cannot be modified, top section has cert. sticker. In a Spitzer 225 RED.  Super Pro bracket car.

Looking at a pic of Dale's car now, at U.S. Nationals in 1976.  I found two pics.  Nice to think that engine lives again.

I have 3 new chips, 7000, 8000, and 9000. I use a selector for my rev limiter and shift point.  Does anyone have a 4000, 4100, and 4200 they would like to trade? I only need them for my two step.
