Nothing wrong or unsafe with electric pump. Lots of safety options available. Kill switch in cabin is a must, theres roll-over switches that cut the power if upside down etc. I'd rather do that way and leave the tubing alone.

You got that right, only the cage and cockpit area matters. What comes to never needing a tag and only 10sec comments, I strongly recommend a second thought. Trust me there will be a day you want to go faster, we all have been there done that. There will also be a day when you try to sell the puppy. Hundred times easier with cert. And the list goes on, do it by the book at once. It's a lot easier now than upgrade later. 7.5 sec spec for mild steel is not that bad. It will cost you just as much time and money to fab an unsafe backyard hackjob as it does the other way, when you are starting from scratch.

Use the same brand that your fittings are, I've been told there might be slight differences if one starts mixing products. Not sure if thats the case but lot of quality complaints nowadays even with well known brands such as Fragola etc. I have used California based XRP for decades and no complaints, just updated my lines and stick with them trying to avoid any fitment issues aka leaks. XRP has solid reputation still. I would stay away from cheap "house brands" from far east that Jegs, Summit etc. sell. Not worth the risk, cost difference is so minimal if the risk is burning down your gear or ending up replacing everything next season again.

Fact above, they bounce. I have had my 150" FED all four up in the air in the shutdown on a bad track. My spine says thank you. Pull the chute first, then "slowly and steady" release the loud pedal helps.

I had a set CNCd back in the day. Copper gaskets need to be pre-heated and softened before installation. Something went wrong in that process as the gaskets ballooned to intake valley at first pass LMAO. That was N/A SBM 11.5:1 deal. Not saying it can't be done, but it can be done the wrong way also. At least I did.

Rain ruined the finals for us. Long off season ahead and not that much tinkering to do. I will switch over to e85, change to bigger carbs and install new hoses just in case.
That allows me to safely raise the boost a little, helping in that 4 sec ET hunt. It was close but no cigar  8)

Here's one site that gets some attention
https://www.racingjunk.com/category/150/Nostalgia.html

If you are on Facebook I've heard theres active marketplace for Nostalgia stuff, sorry I have no links as I'm not in there myself.
This particular forum is really slow for reason or another beyond my knowledge. I doubt you get anything sold here.

Before pump, period. If theres enough crap moving to plug the filter and lead to pump failure, imagine that crap going into pump first? So in my opinion that second theory is just that, theory. And a weak one. Pump dies anyways.

Congrats of the new PB!!! Stream quality was very nice all weekend. Do you know what happened to Frantic backing up to that garage, what caused it? Also I just found out that "The Villain" FED is no more, they can't save it after it scrubbed the wall. What a waste it was such a beautiful and fast dragster.
