From what Im reading on some other forums they are cutting a "pocket" at the 12 o' clock position in the powerglide case and mounting the starter to the adapter. Also read one where they adapted a standard chevy flex plate to the VW engine.

Thanks I have been all over the VW sites and no luck yet
The pocket is cut at 12 o clock but before I screw it up I would like to know some measurements
Thinking of taking a VW bus Bellhousing and cutting out the starter pocket then adding that to the PG

You may contact Coan Engineering in Kokomo In. I remember seeing a VW powered Comp car years ago at the U.S. Nationals with a Coan sticker on the trans.
