Title: powergide w/ VW turbo stall problem
Post by: wideopen231 on August 25, 2016, 03:41:13 PM
Anyone know of conveter guy who has worked with turbo car running glide.Little borther  build a VW using VW 6 cylinder think it VR-6? Anyway problem is getting it to stall high enough to get turbo spooled up.W/o turbo its 140 hp with turbo at 20 psi its around 750 to 800.W/o turbo not enough torque to make conveter stall high enough to spool turbo to have torque to run. Need 4500 to get 12 psi ans with conveter he has its only hitting 3200.

Thinking may need someone who has experiance building conveter for turbo car and glide.

call Eserini’s Automotive Service

super nice guys, have the fastest vw 6 cyl in world...    rear engine dragster but they run a power glide.   you can try dave folts too, his is aircooled but they have ran power glide for years or steve phillips at wolfgang international, he runs powerglide on aircooled nitro setup.

these guys can help you get in contact with someone or tell you what you need to know.

but give eserini a call.
