Roo Man's Room / Re: Short or long Glide?

If you have a soft engine you're prolly gonna need a tall gear to get out the back door in the 1/4 without over reving it. Say a 56 or so.
I've got a left over 1:82 low ATI shorty kit for a glide you could get reasonable.
If you don't use a T-brake on 'em 1:82's live a long time.

I have a 4130 molly bar that has a pressed in machined and threaded end that utilizes cones and spacers to fit different rears and machined donuts that fit different mains.

xxxx Bud,how big is your engine? With an old worn out stocko non stripped 671 at 9.5 over was making 16lbs at 6k on a 350 cid deal.

Glenn
is your blower teflon ? and how much boost are you planning on ? How much overdrive ?  I'm running 33% overdrive with 12 lbs Boost with a 671 street blower but if I were Teflon I could back down the overdrive which I may do anyhow because I pulled the D cups out and put in flat tops because at 7500 rpm on the motor I'm spinning the Blower close to 9000 rpm and I still end up pulling the blower and replacing the bearing often and seals. So anyway I get a lot of Blower time on the bench. There are a lot of Differnt ways of going at this and for the last 10 years this was the easyest for me. I hate to Teflon concidering how long it last, 2 or 3 run and it's done.

Mike I was just catching up on stuff here and consequently after reading your responses here in short order,I'm starting to think you should contain your commentary for your own site instead of stepping on a pro here and prostletizing. ""I'll give all you guys the info you really need"" .It's kinda like spam with an attitude.

Thanx fellas.
I hope this site is livelier than the group on the HAMB. LOL
I don't own a digger at the present time but selling mine in a knee jerk reaction to the way JR/F was going with the VRA/NHRA thing was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.
Nothing like ridin' an inj. digger with some pop in the tank.
Gonna post some parts for sale here in a few.
Thanx again and best of luck with the site. T,out.
