Took car out this weekend for testing;;on first pass the steering wheel[hand grips]was at 3 oclock and 9 oclock;;all good;got ready to make second pass and has was being towed up to staging lane i noticed that had to hold grips at 12 oclock and 6 oclock for car to go straight..made my pass and at shutdown i had to use all my force with both hands and help of knee pushing on sterring wheel to get it to turn off track onto return road;;shut down for rest of day.didn't feel safe to drive until find out why hand grip on steering wheel changed and why so hard to turn.what think happen or what could be wrong;;got car as a roller[new and never been finish but did sit in corner of sellers shop for 5 years before i got it and finish building if that matters or not.

Jack the car up in front and cycle steering
remove steering rod cycle spindles and steering box
check splines on pitman arm
just plain check everything because somthing bent
check front caster, should be no more than 12*
check the steering box mount itself
without having the car at my shop its hard to tell or pinpoint the problem if somthing just broke/bent or has a design flaw

So you bought a new steering box and it was the spindles afterall----- read sentence #2

YEP;;Went with new box;;removed king pins and sanded and lubed them up up;;took all steering rods off and checked to see if bent;;they all checked out good;;just wanted to start off with all new and everything checked over good;;i'm a new driver and wanted to be sure all bases was covered;;positive side of it is new box is much smaller and lighter;;lol;;

Can someone hight the rules for the March Meet N/FA class. That is besides needs to a large dose of nitro.

Aside from the normal safety rules, don't go quicker then 6 seconds

I don't know how I ended up on this thread but I suppose it worked. I was finally able to get some detailed answers I was looking for. 75% + and must be blown (which is what I was really after). I have a semi modern A/Fuel combo as well and was curious I'd they would allow injected nitro. No dice :-\
Thanks,
Daniel
