Not anymore. any self powered vehicle needs an ITN number and im checking out the AES number to bring it across the border.

Non U.S. Residents or Foreign Companies ONLY
Foreign persons visiting the U.S. cannot register to file through AES or AESDirect. Therefore, non-U.S. residents must:
1.Select and authorize a U.S. agent (i.e. Freight Forwarder, Broker, etc.) to file export information to the AES on your behalf
2.Provide the U.S. agent with your foreign passport number (instead of an EIN) and other mandatory data elements
3.Obtain the ITN from the authorized agent

To find a U.S. agent or freight forwarder, simply use an internet search engine to locate one.

They changed the rules last year. Who knew? lol. 125 dollars.
I guess I don't need an AES number as the broker is that number.

Front Engine Dragsters / bought fed no serial number

Hi. I purchased a fed on e-bay and proceeded to fax the bill of sale to the border at portal nd. I guess now you need an ITN number from AES to get it across. the owner doesn't know what make or how old it is. the brokerage company wants the make/model and serial number. any one have any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks

Or has any of you used a shipping company like uship or anything like that?
I might have found one in the midwest.
might be easier than 4 days driving!

I noticed all the trailers use 1 set of wheels.
would it not be smoother for the bouncy fed if it were tandem?
Just thinking?

I guess it depends on the used car and how much. some of the kits look to be about 5g's.
tubing, rear housing and front end would be a good starting point. I have a 400 sbc to go into it. then I would need all the little nickel and dime items to finish it. hmmm.
Now if I could find a nice roller for about the same, less work to do................
I like the late 60's/70's style. low sleek looking.
I'll just keep looking for one not all beat up or if a kit goes on sale comes up I cant refuse lol

Front Engine Dragsters / build or buy?
« on: August 16, 2014, 01:31:35 PM »
Hey fedders!
Just getting the itch to go racing again. always wanted one. went over to grapro's house and looked at his rail. just about has it finished.
Just thinking(and looking) at racing junk and classifieds here. Haven't decided which way to proceed.
Buy a kit and piece it together or buy a used one?
So if a person found a good deal on a used one,it probably would only needed to be freshened up where to build one I would need everything.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Barry.

first off welcome!
here and probably racing junk would be the best for advertising.
Couple of questions:
how much?
Is it certified?
how big of a driver would it fit?
What year is it built?
I'm sure there will be some other fellas with more to add.
Good luck with the sale.
(probably out of my price range :(
