Title: drag link sopport spacing
Post by: wideopen231 on September 03, 2016, 01:27:33 PM
Is there a rule of thumb as to maximum space between drag link supports..Asking because the middle one in my setup has good amount of space betwee the two supports and wondering if it mught cause issue if get into shake situation.Which yes avoiding shake would be first idea, but crap happens.

The diameter of the link also has an effect. On my longer cars (225") I run a 7/8" link and have also added a center support on that link in some cases.  My '69 Don Long car has a center link that is just shy of 8' long and it is 7/8" diameter.
