As tight as we have belts that should be nothing. Now if you wear them loose tighten them .
it really depends on how the belts are set up in relation to how you're pulled into the seat. If everything is right, you'll only move an inch or so.

On my combo, i am running a 4.10 gear, the M&H 12.00x16 tire that measures 100.625 at 8psi.  I run 179mph and 8050rpm on my data logger.

I've had some rough cust service with TBS in the past.  I rather deal with Brad Littlefield.  I run a Littlefield basic 671 on my NE1 (7.60) dragster.

Seems to always come back to how much HP you wanna make.

I run 16psi on my blown 387SBC.  1950#, 7.60/178mph.  i'm using about 5.3gpm. I run a DSR 80-a1 pump and still have lots of main jet to go.

Silly question,  is the car or the track?

mine bounces good on some tracks.  driveshaft speed looks like a sewing machine needle.

We've now got one race (5 laps) on the data recorder.  EGTs are fun to watch.  nice even readings, minus the front two, which are expectedly cooler (hat nozzles only, roots blower pushing fuel forward)

Finally warmed the car up with EGTs....

Idling temps are 150-200 for #1 & #2.  Rest are around 1000*

Numbers in picture are holding the RPM at 3500 for about 4 seconds.

My thoughts are it is pretty fat on the barrel valve and burning the fuel in the pipes.  30* in the mag, 387" SBC, 671 on alcohol.

I believe in overbuild, underuse.

i have a billet crank in a 1000hp engine.  I know it won't be a failure point.
I have GRP rods in a 1000HP engine. yup, i could run Eagle, but i'd be pushing the envelope.

I completely believe in the "pay now or pay later - but you're gonna pay" motto

Steve, i've been known to have catastrophic oil pan failure before.  I wouldn't make a run without a diaper.

Thanks.  next time the pan is off, i'll have a bung installed for an immersion heater. I don't want to have to drop the diaper each day.  I appreciate the info.
