Title: Shoulder width vs cage size
Post by: 1000hpJohn on November 03, 2019, 03:34:10 PM
Hi guys,
Been awhile since I was in here, back with some questions about driver fitement.

How wide of a man will a 19” cage allow with any comfort?
I’m 22” wide at shoulders and 5’10” 265lbs
I am looking very strongly at a fed and it has everything I want on it...
Thanks
John

I wear a 52 jacket, 6', 283#.  I have been in 22 inch cars that i couldn't drive.  My car is 19 1/2 and i drive it fine.

Put a /20 suit on, and climb in, that's really the only way i've found to be sure.

I am 6'3" 250, my car is 23.5" Fits me well, I have seen Greg M in his fed and he fits, I have also drove a 19.5" fed for a few years with no problems. Every car is different. I am wide at the shoulders and tall so it was difficult to get a fed that I was comfy in. Like Greg M said suit up and check it out. I am doing a pour in seat to keep my butt from moving around was my only concern with the big driver's area.
