Very Clean looking car Alan,  Back in the late 80's I was out there working on somones car ,maybe testing? when the inline /flathead race was going on looked like a fun deal, so it's always been on the list for this car,, PS the KB is for the funny car when I hit the lottery ;D ;D ;D,,   Tim Jones

Thanks Don, Your buddies car is pretty cool,  That wood pile in the background reminds me of living along the Platte River and heating with wood, Makes my back sore just looking at it,, Tim Jones

Tim - yes, for some, those kind of ideas makes you smile, I’m one of those…  “saving” classic ford truck, updating with newer heavy duty ford running gear, hauling vintage racer ford powered… ummm hmmm…  keep it up, that’s right and we’ll start thinking… “Tim’s gotta ford penchant” : ) Alan

p.s.  maybe when you’re ready you might attend our annual flathead-inline nationals race at Bandimere, it happened just a few weeks ago.
Yeah Alan it's kind of an all ford deal,  I still have a KB to keep things even tho, ,, BTW We do plan on coming out and running that race when the car is running,, Tim Jones

Glenn – woke up to bleep (rain) here and 34 degrees, suppose to change to bleep (snow) by noon.  Best part, the bleep "is heading your way" and now I know stopping by Tim’s to share…  Maybe if the jet stream changes patterns, it’ll visit masracingtd1167 too and drop off some goodies  : )   Alan
Not sure which of you guys to Thank, But Some at The Cripple Dog Ranch ( Beth and The Dogs) don't mind another snow day,, Me I'm ready for summer,, Tim Jones

I've got access to a complete running flathead. I figured on a simple overhaul to freshen it with a cam, intake and carb change.
Good way to start , That's pretty much what I'm doing to start with and work out the new car bugs ,while I build the good motor,  Tim Jones

Thanks Guys,,  Here it is all painted and ready to put back together, AGAIN, Plus a pic of what I started with a few years ago, Added alittle bit since then,, Tim Jones

Hi Tim – saw your other post on your rear gears.  Yes, I agree 3.70s ideal with your setup to start (I used 3.63s, going to try something new this year 3.40s).  A clubmember running a ford banjo rear tried 4.44, 4.10 and 3.78 with spool and c4.  3.78 combo for him works well.  Enjoyed seeing your pictures.  You know the old rule about tools, more important knowing how to use them properly.  Hope all else going smoothly at CDR : )  Alan
All's well out here , Still plugging away at this thing, Glad winter finally left,, Back to the updates we remounted the clutch pedel to pivit off a cross member and moved the gas pedal back also,  Tim Jones
