After breaking the tailshaft on the glide in this car , all the dragster guys told me to stop bolting the tail down , after that no problems, this was back in the late 70's when I had this car,, Tim Jones

That's a cool project right there.  Lots of history, not only as the Fighting Irish but also the Holy Smokes funny car.

West Coast hitter Jim Murphy.
I used to see this car run when I was younger,  Also worked on fuel cars in the 80's and 90's , while working on Frank krambegers Philly flyer we would run into Jim Murphy and Tim Beebe,, Worked on top fuelers and funnys both  Lucky enough to meet and get to know my drag raceing heros from my youth,, Tim Jones

Tim, I remember seeing the Fighting Irish funny cars in the Car Craft and Hot Rod magazines from the early seventies. I think the Satellite body was one of the best looking. You have a really cool car there.
Thanks , I still find articals and pics on the net, always looking, Tim Jones

Tim - nice job tidying up, looking organized and ready to do some business out there.  And I agree, running engine always a step up, static display or not : )  Alan
Putting the race cars down there gave me more room to do side work to pay for this addiction,,  Tim Jones

Nothing really new, still collecting parts here and there for the funny car, Moved both race cars to another barn , We can put the funny car, the comp coupe and the hauler altogether in this one ,plus more secure,  a thief has to get through a pack of large sled dogs to get to the race cars,  The single dog is my head of securty "Lakota", plus some of the other dogs,,     Tim Jones
