I had to give up riding because my hands would go to sleep after about an hour. I now use my Jeep (topless, doorless) as my four wheel bike

Glen

I had same problem with the springer, not a problem with the RKC. I also had carpal tunnel operation and it made world of differance. My wifes on my butt to get both of the harleys running. Im trying to figure how to get more power out of RKC,At present its 114 ci amking right at 125 hp plus I have fogger system on it. The springer is make 167 hp with 2 stages and staying w/o the nitrous is hard enough.

Heck bored with harleys is one of reason I started the FED for bracket racing. I think I have horsepower addiction ,thinking about checking into James Watts clinic for help.

Got the plug for the nose piece done today, well almost some samding left.

Right after cutting a perfectly good plug up.already pulled mold of this one.

Almost finshed and hopefully what the finished piece will look like. Got to get some gel coat before making mold.Going to make 2 at least.I like a spare everything and second one cost me a bout 30 bucks in materail so might as well do it now, while shop is freaking mess.

Looks good I'm with you on the depth of the v , but when you think of the whole look of the car it works for it, kinda like the top panel section right infront of the motor, Hope that made sense, long day at work, then was takeing the ramp truck apart after work,  Tim Jones

No pics of cage before correcting it.Will not show how stupid it looked and was only 3/16 at most out on one tube.

few pics of slipjoint options. I have few. Whole top tube can slip in 2 locations. 1 in front of motor can be seen above pics.1 4' behind fron axle. Another is one I was told is pretty much same as Neil and Parks do thier where its in the uprights. Any or all can be bolted down to limit movement.

Little trimming when get body done. Have aluminum for body.If can get the spindles mounted then body can be done.Plus thinking about moving the rearend back another 2" to get to the engine at 52" out.All I have to do is make to new plated and weld to rearend while keeping it aligned with crankshaft.

Yea setting car up for two chutes.Figure with brackets if being rushed I can drop one and still have one.Future ideas would require two anyway  and one ____.____._____.____  chute body is enough for while.Think Bourbon cost is gaining on aluminum cost and may be getting ahead. As can see stil got to get rear cage part that suits me. Hey we are not all Rooman,my hats off to him if I can get it out of ceiling from blowing off few hundred times. Actually the learning curve maybe steep but its flattening out all the time. If it was simple I wouldn't want to build it.

Figured up total amount of aluminum weld today,Between body, sheetmetal intake,Inj. adapter, oil pan, fuel tank and few minor pieces it came to roughly 920 inches.Heck by then I should be almost decent at welding aluminum.

Few pics of intake. I got the burst panel added, nitrous lines run and ready,Drilling .030 holes is just too much fun.  Did do some sanding on intake, got adapter about finish polished. Still to mount nitrous pressure gauge in rear and bypass/nitrous enrichment valve in front.

Finally got some rolling stock for car. Bought front wheels, tires and spindles for 300,rear wheels 500 and tires for 150. See I can do the shopping thing,DON'T TELL THE WIFE. Waiting for axles to arrive wensday.I have rearend housing but thanks toNeil and Parks site I know I can build it lighter about 20 lbs lighter. So now waiting on some moly plate to build new rearend housing. Fortunately I only had about 25 bucks in materials in first housing hours of work, never mind. Still only 200 in second housing and for 20 lbs off rear of car I will do it now,if not I would have to redo it anyway.

Finally got some rear wheels and slicks on car. I would have rearend finished since all new axles and brakes arrived except dang Parks.  Looking at his moly housing ad doing some math seems I can build new one and shve 18 yo 22 lbs off car,so original design is trashed for while and I have moly plate on the way.(http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j350/wideopen231/024-1.jpg) (http://s1081.photobucket.com/user/wideopen231/media/024-1.jpg.html)

vfeeling might be priceless but the parts cost the same and if you change mind and rebuild few things even more.Like 175 bucks worth of chrome moly for new rearend design. Just to save 20 lbs.Doing right the first time would have  helped here. I do like the new one.

Just added up cost and so far only 5300 bucks.Good and bad.Good this far for 5300 bucks.Bad its taked this long.I use to spend twice that in phone cal for cpl blowers and 4 times that at first of year for blocks. Hey can i trade the good looks in for wealth.Heck married and they are doing me no good now anyway,as matter of fact niether are cpl other things.I will keep those anyway.

Man time flys when you get older. Had a while away from car doing stuff at house. Getting some new parts in for car.
New FTI conveter showed up last week. Got great deal from 23T on hemi bell for trans so I could elimanate the adapter plate deal..  Just finished machining valvebody so its now pro tree brake, not aluminum I want  YET.

Just ordered two sheets of alluminum to finish few small projects. Building a oil pan since starter has to recess into it some because TFX does not have mounts for starters and not cutting 5500 buck block. Building new fuel tank for little less fuel was around 4.5 and figure 3.5 is more than big enough, het gallon equals 8 pounds,Getting samller 1" fuel line for same reason save .27 gallons and thats 2 pounds plus the little differance in 1" and 1.25" tube for 10'.

Thought I was getting close till I made a to finish list. Battery, starter, gauges, wiring, fluids, whelie bars, delay box, bushings for spindles. Going to need more than mushroom money to get this thing done soon.

Getting my badboy Harley ready to sale. Takes away from car work timer but hopefully add to car worm funds. Hate selling family member.Especailly one I built most every piece on. Few pics need to get one  of ghost in fed on rear fender.
