Title: rule on electronic devices.
Post by: wideopen231 on March 22, 2019, 06:27:45 AM
I have not found anything that would make my oh crap button illegal,Basically its a electronic solenoid that controls air to solenoid to dump chute.  I can still just old fashion smack handle and do it. In case of something stupid it just allows me to be both hands on wheel while still throwing out the laundry. Asking because I have bad habit of skip reading and jumping over stuff I should be catching. Might be something in another section of rules that cover this.

How the electronics rule is read is that the driver has to apply the first direct motion.  If you push a button, and the air valve/solenoid moves, that is legal and not electronics. Electronics is more of a concern in the operation of the engine where through timers and circuits control the engine without any input of the driver past the pressing the button
