What does the front end weigh? My FED has never been on the track but I have been told the front should weigh approx 375 to 400 lbs to work correctly. Think Frank Parks told me that...

If you have a small cc head you should still be able to get at least 11 to 1 out of it ! When I started messing around with 20 percent nitro I went to a flat top piston to drop compression down ! To my surprise it really didn't slow down much on straight alcohol ! The best it ever ran on the higher compression straight alky was 7.24 and with the lower compression straight alky 7.32 ! If you need to make a little more power just put a little nitro 10 to 15 percent and that will wake it up !
How much of a compression change and from how high of compression? Just interested, thanks

For you long glide users, do you use a bushing or needle bearing in your tailshaft in a FED? Just wondering the do's and dont's. Thanks...

Neil and Parks is now offering people to come to their shop and build chassis. You weld so that might be a great deal. Call them, they are great guys and can help with anything.

Welcome Greg, decide how fast you want to go and order the correct SFI book from NHRA. All the information you need to build a chassis right.
Good to see another Greg on here...
