Spud,

Have question.I have a 1100 in need of repair.Can it be built to a lower gpm pump. Looking to get it down to around 11 gpm or so.

 It could be done, but it would be pretty expensive. A new Enderle 760 lid, gear, rotor and end piece would be almost as much as a new 760 pump.

Current A/F Nitro big pump has a restrictor installed to get it down to 11.whatever gpm @ 8000 crank rpm

Thanks. Did not know a restrict-or was allowed,but that would save me pretty good amount and be able to use cpl pumps I have. Not that I plan to go A/fuel event wiser,but maybe play some later and get some good working knowledge of setup.

So Spud .Would I still be better off dropping these down closer when rebuilding them and then have restrictor .Figure no reason running a ton of head pressure if don't have to.

A/F (NITRO) fanagled the big pump/restrictor to give them more volume at the hit without adding pump speed. Running the new "BUBBA" tire was creating too much load for the small amount of fuel volume of the normal pump. This change alone got them from the low 6's into the upper 5's

any idea as to how big of pump they are using? Going to check with cpl folks about this and getting  restrictor in one of my older pumps . I know they use to be right at 18.5 gpm,but may need work. May give Spud a call next week.

. Fuel pump for blown alcohol restricted to a total fuel delivery limited to 9.60 gpm at 4,000 rpm pump speed measured at 100 psi. Fuel pump for injected nitro restricted to a total fuel delivery limited to 11.60 gpm at 4,000 rpm pump speed measured at 100 psi. All competitors must submit their fuel pump(s) to the NHRA-accepted testing facility (KJ Crawford Inc. Fuel Injection; phone, 707-542-9551) for certification prior to competition
