I am going to Beach Bend this year for the Hot Rod Reunion . This will be my first time there and I am really looking forward to it ! I would be nice if we could meet each other in person ! Can't wait Bill

I am planning on going and hope to be racing with the NDRL group in the 8.0 class (the engine is not cooperating at the moment, but think we might have it figured out).
Maybe someone should put together a banner for Front Engine Dragster forum????

me too, know more in 2-3 weeks, the car is just setting in its box with the good stuff going bad

I plan on coming down with some friends . The car will stay home.

still undecided about going with the Cat. We know we can run well enough to have fun.(this is a given ;D)
I may be there as a fuel driver looking for a ride if we don't bring the car.
We just won't know until about a month before.

Leaving for Bowling Green tonight . We are going to make a vacation out of this and be away for 2 weeks . Going to visit some old friends in Maryland and after the race spend a few days in Nashville ! Hope to see some of you there ! Bill

At one point it looked like I would not make it, but am planning on leaving Monday night.
I'm not preregistered, but have call NHRA and they say I can register at the gate.

I'm dying to go, but couldn't commit yet. Is it too late to book hotel room?
Also, is there a way to make easier to identify the FrontEngineDragsters.Org members there? Perhaps displaying the FrontEngineDragsters.Org business card on their trailers or something like that? What about identifying non-racing members like me?
Any race team needing a helping hand?

I suspect hotel rooms will be hard to get.
We are approaching the 500 member mark.
When we reach it I will get some shirts made up.
I will have business cards there, grab some and pass them out.

Stop by and introduce your self, wish I could get everyone to sign their posts with their name so I knew who everyone was.
Will be leaving Rochester about 10:00 PM and hope to get just south of Cleveland before stopping. Get up early and drive to BB.

Well we made it to Bowling Green today Loooong ride just about 1000 miles ! Dropped the trailer off at the track and went out for a nice dinner . Going to just relax for the next couple of days . Tomorrow is my wife Kathy's birthday so we will celebrate her 60th here ! See you guy's on wednesday !

Best of luck to all of you that are competing. Bill, tell Kathy that I wish her Happy Birthday. I bet not many spouses would be willing to spend their birthday at the track! I'm jealous of all of you that are going but I'm staying home to work on my stuff.

Did not see you, we are down next to the staging lanes close to the track. Have a great view of the track out the side of the MH

First qualifying run was a little slow, ran a 8.090, second run changed the lower pulley to put a little more air in (missing a 55tooth top pulley for my tune up) and went a little fast 7.985 with a .015 reaction time.

Ok, we are out of in the second round.
Put a tune up in that should have run 8.060
Track was in excellent condition, ran our best 60 foot time ever.
Had an .021 reaction time but ran to fast (because of the 60 foot time)with a 7.951, the other guy broke out also but not as much.
I’m really happy with the way we ran, the team was a TEAM, the driver drove well, the track beat us.

I was about a tenth slow down there the best we could go was 7.59 . In my case the driver did not do his job and went red in the first round . We met so many nice people there and to me that's what drag racing is all about
