This was based in Indiana and I am not sure how far he traveled with the car.

I think this picture is really a neat shot.

I went and got my glide out of tranny jail tonight, all fresh and ready to go. Now it's back in the car Saturday to tack the broken lower tranny mount in place, take tranny back out, then take the chassis to the tig welder for the repair. A little side track with this hidden surprise, but what can you do.

Yes Luke this is Joel. In todays standards if we only knew then what we know now. Those bodys are considered priceless to the right people. I would almost sell my house to get one back, my wife would stop me from that but you get my point.

Drag Racing / Re: New NHRA track 1000 ft.!!!!!!!

Yes its 100 feet or 1000 I will still be there. Its probably more due to the lack of land available then the actual just wanting to cut it short. If I understand correctly theres not any sancioning body attached to it yet, they are trying to sanction it with the NHRA first.

OK forgive my ignorance. But are we a Vanderwoude???
And you have some of your Dads bodys????  If so Holy Burnout Batman. You must start a thread and post info.  Please.  8)
My Altered right now is an older FC chassis.
Hey sorry for the sidetrack.
Best to you
Luke

I am not a Vanderwoude, but my Dad did purchase the 68/69 Dutchman Charger from Al and repaint it as his own vision. He then sold his operation in early 71 and moved to K.C. and drove 3 versions of the Dutchman for Al. As far as having one of the bodies, you could only imagine the people that have tracked me down begging for them. I wish I did. The Charger body was sold to a guy who ran a garage/salvage business locally in 1970. I am certain it ended up in a dumpster as it never did surfaced.

This is the 1st set up my 2nd dad ran in his 1st altered around 1963, he still has it in his shop. I may have a chance someday to aquire this motor, fingers crossed. I am big on sentimental things and have been trying to walk in my parents shoes for as long as I can rmember and I would love to run this in my car, I beleive the motor is a 327. I know its not a Hilborn so what is it and is it worth running ?

Here it is in the car back in the day

An aquantance of mine was the driver for this nastalgia funny car/altered, It double dutied as an altered also. Its an older chassis like a late 70'S chassis if I remember right. This has been my plan all along to someday rebody mine with a blown alky big block and put one of my dads funny car bodies on it. Someday may never come though the way prices keep rising.
