I would like to see it where you can run 426 aluminum blocks. While Iunderstand the cost.In longrun its cheaper.Aluminum can be repaired easier.  There are lots of used ones around at half cost of new. I worried about apperance to public just make rule they have to be painted. Now keeping [paint on with nitro might be trick.

Oh yea I have 4 blocks that I could run if by some chance I lucked into money to run the class.

I have done some work since then pics are in post about time for FED forum.

As for today no work have car show this weekend.I did buy a new Cobra torch/welding kit can't wait till Monday to refill tanks. Guy demonstrating made it look awsome. Cutts beter than any plasma cutter I have seen. Welded .020 aluminum better than my tig and broke the number 1 rule of aluminum welding the stuff he was welding was far from clean.  So no work but I got new tool to help finisher her up,spindles will have to wait till next month.

Roo Man's Room / slip joint fed
« on: February 02, 2013, 02:53:07 AM »
Anyone on site running FED with slipjoint chassis I would love to get aosme info.

Im build 225" fed that at presetn is setup with tow slip joint sctions. One in fornt of motor. one about 2 feet behing front axle centerline.  Both are setup to be slip joint or quick bolt makes them rigid.Top tubes are sleaved at diaganols/upright(20*). Joint infront of motor also has bottom rail bolted in.I can pull 2 or 4 bolts disconnect fuel lines pull 1 bolt from steering and have car in 2 peices.Garage onlt 22' deep car has to go corner to corner. This little feature allows me to store and work on car easier, plus I figured out how to make it into altered with just another front clip or for about cpl hundered bucks I can have shorter fed if wanted(why i would I don't know).
I have cpl pics in fed section of where Im at and yes donations will be accepted.

Front Engine Dragsters / about time there was FED forum
« on: February 02, 2013, 02:41:17 AM »
I think this should be awsome site.I just joined and think its about time there was a forum for those who are not brain dead and think they have to run engine in rear of car.

Ok I got to rant some.  Been catching crap for past year or so about building a FED seems these bracket guiys think that unless the engine is behind you car can't win race I plan on changing few minds on that.

Im build 225" fed with 526 TFX hemi to run and will be mostly bracket raced with hopefully some nostalgia racing also. Biggest issue for me is the engine  combo . The aluminum block limits some of class' I can run it in. Chassis is built to meet 2.2c spec. I have been getting info from some guy named Parks. Hes great for giving info anf helping in anyway, plus he carries about anything you want for FED.

Its been slow go becuase of low cash flow lately, but I'm gaining on it.

A quik introduction.  I have raced alky funny and daragster mostly crewchief(StarrRider Funny car Named after Alan Starr a good friend of family).I had some driving in and TA/D and ran good numbers but then again the money thing showed up. Been out of racing for while and basically got tired of life going by and being boring so as Paul Newman said In movie "Color of Money "   I'M BACK. Been called cocky I call it good and confident. Its only cocky if you can't back it up.
I figure if you can to spend money like this it has to be fun. Being normal has never been me. I'm something of showman and what better way to steal the show than being one car totaly different for everyone else. Around here seeing a FED in brackets is like seeing a sapce ship land. Plus they are some badass looking rides and just plain cool. Any freaking whimp can ride down track, real men drive the cars.

a pic of where Im at right now and no injectors not finished along with a lot of other stuff.
