can you run a crank trigger with vertex mag?
trying to get my wiring laid out. going to use Spud's setup for rev limiter with crank trigger input unless the mag input can be used. i'd prefer to use crank trigger for tunning as i feel it is more accurate. i was reading somewhere where you can use or say start on mag then switch to crank?
have vertex mag.
what is the best option for this right now. will look at changing later as funds permit. what would be ideal?

Nope, you can't trigger a points mag with a crank trigger.
You can use the crank trigger signal for other purposes (tach, RPM switch, rev limiter), but ignition timing isn't one of them.
