Front Engine Dragsters / Support equipment to field a vintage style fed..
« on: December 12, 2014, 04:13:46 AM »
This spring will be my fist attempt at fielding and driving my vintage style front engine dragster. I have raced most of my life from go carts to eastern dirt modifieds and have not raced competitively since 2004 looking to stock my trailer with support equipment and spares. most of the tracks I will race are 3+ hours from home.  What do you guys bring and what do you outfit your trailers with generator compressor drill press etc. and what spares for the car. My modified due to wheel to wheel racing  had almost a second car in spares minus the chassis.. Im trying to be organized and prepared. Thanks.

Roo Man's Room / Re: To build or buy built

Look up dragster supply on the internet he sells a great kit and lots of little tabs  and componants which will make your build easier David Beard is a great guy and easy to work with. He does a lot of work here in the northeast and can custom build anything you need also his prices are great. dragstersupply.com  He has done two cars for me using my componants and constructing the cars to various stages so I could do a lot of the work myself. You will not be disappointed.

In the mastercylinder its self there is a built in residual valve on the end of the piston there is a cup with a circular group of holes and a rubber flap over the holes I have been told by in the past on my dirt modified to remove the rubber flap especially if you are usinig residual valves. I have never had to use residule valves.

Pat a 15 will meet sfi requirements many times a when a 20 is recerted it is downgraded to a 15 which lets you use it longer profox has a really good sfi 15 at the best price
. for the extra few bucks I would go with a 20.
