I would wonder about the 'suction' of the carb being able to move the higher specific gravity of Nitro?

Like sucking on a straw in a milkshake compared to a straw in a Coke?

With injection the pump is pushing the fuel through the lines/jets while the atmosphere is trying to raise the fuel mixture through the orifices, etc.

Usually run 1/8th mile tracks.
5.10 - 5.23 @ 133 MPH

Best 1/4 is around 8.20 @ 166 MPH
(car setup for 1/8th)

No alternator then?

Nice pass, though!

Yes, that is Chuck.

He was the 1st to 250 MPH in TAD back then.
He always had a lot of nice paint job cars.

Anyone remember Chuck Baird?

He is supposedly putting a FED together.
(in fact it's built mostly)

Except for the main chassis, my brother and I built about everything on out RED's.
They are shorty's though, so nothing fits like the big guys use.
(180" wheelbase)
 ;D

Also run Pontiacs so not much fits from other suppliers either.
(like Glenn's engine)

Built all the steering linkages, throttle setups, shifters, engine mounts/brackets/plates,rear end mounts, brake systems, dashes, etc.

No, it's not a landshark.
It is about like one.

A friend of mine made it and my brother's.
We wanted them to be short for bracket racing.
Easier to turn onto track and return roads.
I think they may be before that guy made the landsharks.
(mine was built in 1995 and my brother's 1st one was a couple years before that.)

Thought I'd start a thread here since I have a R.E.D. car.

It's a Pontiac powered 463 CID with Ron's Toilet on it.
180" long with Powerglide trans.
9" Ford rear end with 3.86 gear/spool
All work done by me or my brother except for the chassis.
