TORR makes hydraulic fittings in a lot of different sizes, and they are available with either Butyl or Viton o-rings, the Viton is more chemical and heat resistant.  We actually use them as quick disconnects for vacuum lines in Autoclaves as the Viton is good to 450*.

Wanted to sell / Re: Wedge Hilborn

Anybody looking for a stack injection system for Max Wedge heads, I have a complete Indy Cylinder Heads system.  The intake is carbon copy of a Tim Ingler system, Enderly pump, barrel valve and shutoff, Kinsler hi-speed, all lines and tune-up for both a 408 B motor and a 536 RB motor.

Dave Tuttle is another California chassis builder you might want to talk to.  A clutch nowadays means you have a 2 or 3 speed Lenco with reverser to go with it. A pedal clutch is even more rare in a FED, usually what you will find is a Crowerglide.  Also, with a clutch comes a lot more maintenance and needed knowledge.

If you like a sheet metal rearend, Neil and Parks has one that is very compact and light, and you can get it pre-welded or weld it yourself, comes it chrome-moly or titanium for the weight concerned folks.

That blueprint is the little brother to the '69 Woody Gilmore car that I had, 165" with a cut down coupler and a shorty Glide.  Yep, engine way back, fuel and battery way out front, no need for big heavy slicks, let go of the tranny brake and HOLD ON!  If you build or buy a car, best bet is to know what you will fit in.  Put on your firesuit and helmet, sit against the wall, holding a 10" frying pan in front of you at shoulder level.  Have somebody measure from the floor to 2" above the helmet, the width of your shoulders, from the wall to the frying pan, from the center of your arm at the shoulder to the floor.  Those are the numbers you need to know if you will fit in the car or not.

With a Glide and a tranny brake, it would work, problem is controlling the boost and matching the fuel requirements.

If those shocks are adjustable, tighten up the extension in addition to add the aforementioned pre-load.

First off, get yourself measured so that you know what size cockpit you need. Put on your firesuit, helmet boots, gloves, sit down against a wall, bend your knees until your outstretched hands just touch your knees with your heels on the floor.  Now, roll your shoulders flat to the wall, and have somebody measure: floor to 2" above helmet, width outside to outside of your shoulders, from wall to your palm, from midpoint of your upper arm to the floor.  These numbers will tell you what you can and will not fit in, bigger you can pad the seat to fit, small you you will not fit!

Drink water, lots of it!  It will help flush your system and all the extra trips to the toilet is more good for you walking!

Spud Miller's Cave / Re: Spool size on a Crower IR injection.

Yes, barrel valve is the same, spool is different.  Something in your system isn't doing what it is supposed to.  You should be feeding the pump with a #12 or bigger line, #8 from pump to 3-way shutoff, #8 to the barrel valve.  Now, between the shutoff and barrel valve should be a tee with your main by-pass, unless it is built into the barrel valve (like an Enderle unit).  An Idle by-pass is a good thing, and it should be set to open at 18 - 20 psi.  If there isn't any blockages anywhere in your system, with a #50 main pill, you should be pig fat.  Check every line, distribution block, and fitting for an obstruction, and make sure that when you thing your shutoff is open, it really is!

I believe there is a guy that runs with the NDRL that has a pedal clutch, high gear only, running 7.00's, blown 392.

Way to big of slicks, chassis has a lot of flex in it, probably only saving grace.

That big of a motor on nitro, look at getting a bolt together 10" that's fairly tight, don't even try an 8" converter, you'll driver through it.

It be those long headers that all four tubes get squeezed into one tube.......Not at all like those nice flowing individual pipes that just curl up and back from the exhaust ports!

Hemi or Wedge?  Mopars aren't like Chevy's and a 4.5" bore motor with either B1-TS or 572-13 heads will get you real close to that 7.0's number.
