Hello everybody. Just to help me along with my build and give me something to look forward to. Can I make a pole of your FED weight and what 1/4 times you run. Thanks in advance Pete.

Thanks for your replies guys. I think I'm going to go with the std insulator bolted to the trans but resting on the on a mount. That way the box can still move about but the mid plate wont have to carry all the mass of the box.

Sounds like a good idea Jeff. With its iron case the FMX is pretty heavy, I've not weighed it yet !!! But yep make a cross member and rest the gearbox mount on it to help with the weight.

Yep there will be a mid plate. Its a 100-105" FED. Over here in England we cant pop down the local yard for a Chevy and a glide. The FMX will get me down the strip, not as quick as you guys but hopefully a lot of fun till funds permit otherwise. So what we saying gearbox mount or not ? Thanks.

Hello. What's the option on transmission mounts. Its seams the norm to run without one. I will be running a 351W with a FMX behind it. Now before you all switch off I know its not a Chevy or a PG but at the moment its all I can afford. So with or without ?? thanks again Pete.
