After the couplers are completed then it will be time to modify back half so engine will fit and I think I can shorten it by about 10" . The top rail will be bent down for engine then back up for rear end . Picture found to show mod

Got some work done today on Mockup engine to trans . 1/4 in motorplate to connect the VW to shorty powerglide. Looks like total lenght will be around 44" from pully to rear housing. Now I need to find the couplers to connect the trans to the Ford 9" rear.

I have wheels from a sandrail that will fit the spindle , will a MC tire 120X15 be ok or will it come apart a speeds ? Not sure what speed this will run so thing 150 MPH will cover that

When adding mounting tabs to a CM chassis to the tabs need to be CM or can they be mild steel and do they need to be TIG welded or is MIG ok for this
I need to move the Brake and Gas peddles on my project

I have a brand new set of strange 31 spline axles and new center section with 4.10 gears, Daytona pinion support and spool. Upgraded to 40 spline. Will try to get axle measurements today and post.

Did you get the measurements and any idea of your price ?

thanks TDracer , I'm on a very limited budget
I have found the Jig to shorten the housing so really looking for just the 31 spline axles
I have a center with spool and a new disk brake steup and don't want to resell that stuff

Not sure if I can get some more room by replacing the cage , but any Idea how much it would cost ? It maybe easier to do the entire thing , but could just the front tube and the side tubes be replaced ? I'm in SOCAL
