New England Hot Rod Hall of Fame Nationals July 12, 2015

With input from the clubs that present our events, the  goal was to align the class structure to mirror some of the classes run at the NHRA Hot Rod  Reunion race on August 28-30, 2015 in order to make an easier transition to compete in all    events under the same class structure.

The following is an outline of the new class structure. All NHRA and New England Dragway safety rules and required safety equipment apply.
Pro Tree, No- Delay Boxes or down track throttle stops. (Electronic and Air shifters allowed)

PRO 7.0 Index – ’72 and older Front Engine Dragsters, Altereds, Funny Cars (Similar to NHRA NE I)

PRO 7.50 Index – ’72 and older Front Engine Dragsters, Altereds, Funny Cars (Similar to NHRA NE II)

PRO Index – 8.00, 8.50, 9.00, 9.50, 10.00 indexes -1972 & older door slammers Front Engine Dragsters,             Altereds, Funny Cars or Roadsters (Like Index run each other then handicap tree)

Full Tree – No Electronics, Handicap Tree


 East Coast Flat Head – Racers Race cars w/Flathead V8, Inline 4 or 6 cylinder engine.  (All Run Bracket Race)

  Hot Rod Eliminator – ’72 and earlier 9.99 & Up (All Run Bracket Race) No Delay  boxes, or Transbrakes.

  Street Machine Eliminator – ’72 and earlier  9.99 & Up  (All Run Bracket Race) Must be                                       streetable/inspectable. DOT drag tires, open headers, rev limiters, and line locks okay.

  Full Tree – Electronics Allowed, Handicap Tree

  Comp Eliminator  (All Run Bracket Race)

   Full Tree – Run Only  (Test & Tune)

We will be there ! I won the 7.50 class last year and we are going to try again . I would love to see Chuck bring his new car to this race ! Looking forward to it !

Great, had a good time last year also.

This is the finial from the Pro Comp class last year (was first loser there also, will try and fix that this year).

Our plan is to leave Wednesday, sleep in the parking lot Wednesday night and get in line Thursday morning for check in.

We are sitting in the parking lot, they are running tuners down the track.

There are a number of motor homes staged here already to get in in the morning

First two qualifying rounds are in.

Round one R/T .000 and ran 8.028 on the 8.000 index

Round two R/T .010 and ran 8.009 on the 8.000 index

Now if I can only do it again tomorrow

As of Friday night both Glenn and Bill were running great. Glenn was within .01 of his index and Bill was within .05. Best of luck to both in today's eliminations!

Made it to the finials again, was running a 9.5 vehicle, treed him, made it to the finish line first, but got there .029 seconds under my index. Oh well.

Made it to the finials again, was running a 9.5 vehicle, treed him, made it to the finish line first, but got there .029 seconds under my index. Oh well.

Pretty sure you were running a 9.00 car.

I'll check the time slip, but not sure it makes any difference in the outcome.

Back from a much needed vacation in New Hampshire ! My son drove the truck and trailer home and Kathy and I stayed up there till Thursday . Thanks for all the congrats ! A special thanks to Glenn and Anne for helping us out on Saturday . Two of our members in the Comp final Congrats to Dave and Glenn. Also congrats to Wayne Hoffman for his win in pro comp . Cody great meeting you and seeing your beautiful car in person ! Chuck great to see you again !
