I think most of us feel the same way . There is a lot more satisfaction when you do stuff yourself . I have never built my own chassis but at some point I might try it . Tyler it look's like you are getting close .

Question, I`ve got a Peak battery jump  starter for use in the winter (450 amp 900 cranking amp). Thought about gutting it to use the light weight battery. Bad idea ? Sorry if I`m hi-jacking this thread.
Neil and Parks makes a bracket so you can use a battery from a Milwalkie drill to power your stuff . Very trick piece

Don and Glen you both bring up some very good point's . I think we all have dfferent reason's why we race but one thing we all share is the love of what we do . Don you are so right when my father was 63 he was old. I am just a kid at 62 Glen you have me beat  I won't be 63 till October And I hope to do this for a long time . As far as the racing I would love to see a heads up 7.0 or 7.50 class . Epping has a pro comp class with a 6.20 index and it has been very successful . Bracket racing can be fun too a lot of real close races . I go to some af the big buck races at Atco with my son and they are very very competetive . If you are not .00 on the tree you better be dead on your dial . I think the main thing to remember is to have a good time and just enjoy the warm breeze as Don said . Speed on brother's and sisters!

Nice car best of luck with it . I raced at York a few times . They used to stop the races there so airplanes could land at other end .

Ok here is something to think about . Two fed's both cars weigh 1600 lbs one is 160 w.b. the other is 200w.b. same motor same distance away from rear centerline . The shorter car will have more weight on the front wheel's ! What dose this have to do with anything ? I am not really shure just felt like typing something .

Something a lot of guy's tend to overlook when they are building a car is how fast or slow the steering is . This can make a huge difference in the way a car handles and drives . As an example my son's RED 240in wb has short steering arms very quick steering . It is very touchey at speed . You can't move the wheel much at all . Now my fed has slow sreering very lazy . Ilike it that way .
