Billy is what you would call a little anal ! Did you notice even the decals on the motors have to be exactly the same . We have a lot of fun with him moving his tools around and turning the labels around on his brake clean cans . Both of those motors are 321 cubes the one on the left makes 2.82 hp per cube The one on the right has not been dynoed yet . We think it will be around 2.88 or 2.9 . I really enjoy working with Billy . I get to keep up on all the new technology in comp and deal with some of the best in the buisness.

Went to the valley Sunday with my son's car to break in new motor . Switched to a 16 volt batterie and had a couple of issues . You are supposed to charge a new 16 volt for 24 hours we did not and it kept loosing power durring a run . Finally got a decent charge on it and went 7.40 at 180

Why does the charge level effect the run time? Are you running a coil with an ignition box? Nice car.
Yes Glen We use a 7al3 ignition ,water pump ,fan , fuel pump . What I think happend is the voltage would drop and the ign. box and fuel pump would not work properly .

Chris I don't think there is a bad one out there . I use an ATI and have had no issues . Make shure you use a good set of planetary's and a good input . The ringless ones are the best.

Dave Very interesting and scary story . Some times we complain when NHRA comes out with a new rule or regulation and then you remember some of the guy's that lost there lifes because of these things . I guess we need to save our self's from our self's some times . Thank's for the tip about the bolts

Matt Shaff's Engine Shop / Re: How big of a supercharger?

This would be a project for next year so I could run this 7.0 class . My car run's 7.0's with a 200 shot of nitrous so that's why I think 300 hp should do it

984
Ricardo I made the pedal out of 3/8 chromemolly tubing . I purchaced a bender from Jerry Bickle race cars . I was only  about 60 dollars and handy as could be . Yes that's a vac gauge but I have had 2 break already . Cheap Jegs gauges I think yiu need a liqid filled one .

Just thinking out loud . How big of a blower would I need to make 300 more horsepower on my smallblock ?

Going to test my son's car on Sunday

Got a little more done on mine today . Motor and trans are in.

Chris I don't use a down nozzle . The bungs in the manifold are for my injector nozzles . The spray bars are for nitrous and fuel enrichment . With a 250 shot of nitrous bringing it in at .2 is worth between 4 to 5 tenth's and 8 to 9 mph.

Interestingly, I have a set I was going to advertise soon. Centerline Convo-Pro, 15x14, 3 or 4" BS (will have to verify), 5x5" Bolt circle. Have low usage Goodyear 2070 tires on them. PM if interested.

Thanks
Chris       I would be interested in the tires only Thanks Bill

Chris here are a few more . The 2 brass tubes along the top of plenum are spray bars for nitrous
