Spud Miller's Cave / Fuel Pressure Problem
« on: April 05, 2015, 04:53:15 PM »
I am running a 434 SBC,700 HP,1050 Dominator on gas,A2000 Aeromotive fuel log with rear regulator with return line, A1000 Aeromotive fuel pump, plumbed per Aeromotive.
Went to the track testing and started engine to check everything. Just before burn out area started to die and could tell it was fuel starvation. Towed back to pit and started again and looked ok ,then notice regulator gauge reading zero and engine not running right.
Then got home took carburetor apart and checked. Took up to my shop a couple days later and started engine and running good and showing on regulator gauge 61/2-7psi. Got in car ,put in gear and did some take off several times and very strong with no problem. Got out of car with engine running and gauge shows zero ,but still running ok.I went through the lines and all checked out, what am I missing ? Ran this combination in a Vega door car and ran 9.28 in 1/4 mile. I took engine out and put in dragster.

Roo Man's Room / Fitting Leak
« on: September 27, 2014, 03:20:52 PM »
I have a couple fitting on my hose to my radiator.  The upper fitting are fine, but lower leak. I have tried everything, but nothing works. They are a Jeg's house brand # 16 fittings. Here are a couple pictures and shows were they are leaking. They are leaking between the nut and were the fitting bends into the nut. I have not run in to this on major brands, but thought I would try these ( cheaper ). Any opinion ?

Front Engine Dragsters / Header Question
« on: May 05, 2014, 04:07:54 PM »
I have Brodix cnc 227 SBC heads with standard exhaust bolt pattern. The car I bought has zoomie headers with spread port pattern. I was told by a major header manufacturer that they can make adapter from a 6 bolt to a 7 bolt, but the center ports will not match up right.
Can someone chime in ?
I guess if I can not use will have to sell these and buy a set with standard.

Your Builds / Photo Gallery / Old School Dragster
« on: May 03, 2014, 10:56:45 PM »
Got the engine in today . Sure is a lot easier to work on then a door car. I did notice my heads are standard port and zoomies are spread port so will have to get adaptor plates. Waiting for custom radiator, fuel pump and surfer scoop to get here. I figure a couple weeks to hit the track.

I am finally getting my front engine dragster. I want to put a radiator in it for rounds. What would you recommend that would fit between the rails ?
