You did a great job, too!  Congrats again Larry!

They also screwed up some of the NTF rules.  Since when did headers need to be insulated down the the bend in the body???   :o

Follow these directions, and you won't have the money to pay attention to the faster cars...

Try Stith Printing or Redline Shirt Club.  They sponsor races and series that board members most likely attend.

Personally, I would never mount a transmission cooler inside of the cockpit.  I think that is not allowed in a door car.  Just think if it burst, or a line broke.  I have seen plenty mounted out front.  I have also seen them mounted behind the seat, under the parachute.  I think that is the safest location for it.

I am slightly biased toward low slug rockets.  I got to crew on one...

Off topic;

I will say this, Mr. Means, I am NOT a GM fan.  But, your car RULES!

A few NTF guys use tearoffs.  Personally, I would on any FED.

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: Rear gear with a 3 speed
« on: July 15, 2018, 10:24:49 AM »
There is a company selling TH400 transmissions that run as a two speed.  Maybe it is just a kit?  I believe they use second and third gears.  Maybe that would work for the TF727?

I am in the same boat, I want a C4 behind my Y Block Ford engine.  Call it stubbornness or call is stupidity.  But, I want a Ford powered Ford with Ford parts.  I will give up performance for the pursuit of happiness.

As my favorite quote says;  A chump like me will always choose passion over common sense...

If you have a motor plate between the engine and transmission and mounting ears at the front of the engine, I believe you do not want to run a rear transmission mount.  If you do, the chassis will flex, and you start braking stuff.  Hopefully Roo or someone with more knowledge than me will add to this.

Personally, I think swapping out a Powerglide for a TH400 is a great idea.  I wouldn't be afraid of running it as a three speed either.  That would keep in engine RPM in the sweat spot (power band).
