It's hard to tell from this picture but the upper ran tubes bottom is expanded to slip over the lower.

We manufacture those Spun Aluminum Ram Tubes, to fit over 3" OD Tubing.   Either pop rivet them or glue with a dab of epoxy.   www.Alkydigger.com   615-457-3192      put Bells in search bar to find them .

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: Anybody here run a Jr. fuel car?
« on: March 31, 2013, 02:58:30 PM »
I would love to see a  Cleveland style  or Boss  small block .
The 4V heads are  great for flow above 6000  rpm  .
I am not Ford inclined, but have wondered why more Ford stuff isn't  used.
Give me a call if you want help with the fuel system   .

Front Engine Dragsters / Re: what pump for nitro
« on: March 31, 2013, 02:54:40 PM »
If it's under 410 cu in and under  70% nitro a tested  dash 1 pump will be fine  7.0 gpm.
Nozles will ultimatly depend on the pump, compression, heads, and size of the throttle  bores.
With nitro % you should call me for calculations, with just alcohol  it is a lot easier.

Wonder why it took so long to discover new steel, with all the engineers we have in racing ?

Filled the block with Hard Block
Sprinkled it with Holy Water.
I may be making my own balancers -  too hard to find a 5- 3/4" one  except for the ROMAC.
Been too busy remodeling the new building fr Alkydigger.com  to move into ,,,,so the car has sat for a while.
The last pic was with the 6 cylinder JEEP engine (RIP )  sold it to a hungry guy on the West Coast.  :>)

I looked at it and tried to decied what is the next task to address to get the Blower Install done.

I inally got around to sending some parts off the be anodized Red.   Got a new 358" Short block sittng there, and a New Hilborn injection, but seems like no time to work on it.  when I dohave time, the wfe says I don't have time .
TIME  is obviously scarce around my house.
