Post by: wideopen231 on March 16, 2013, 12:52:46 PM
Anyone know average differance in full body with para chute body.para chute short body and the bare minumin short body.  Thinking about doing at least two of them the full(love the look) and either short or short with chute back. I could probably measure figure amount of alluminum and do math but to xxxx lazy.

Glen either your car shorter or you garage wider than mine. My car fits corner to corner but not room to walk around it 225" with 30 inch nose and the chute body will be about 1.5 to 2 off wall.

Now if you know how much it weighed with body off from motor forward I would have idea how much differance In thinking 3o to 35 lbs. But then mu car has wider and taller front from looks of yours in pictures. but should only be cpl lbs extra for mine. If don't mind what part of the 1505 is you. email is wydopn2312@yahoo.com if need.

Just started making nose piece and going carbon fiber on it.

On wieght part I will have all aluminum motor, but then its hemi with billet heads. I might do some machine work on block and heads to remove some weight.

No cooling system got to save 30 or 40 lbs

no charging system and still not sure if I will run vac system or not

Working on carbon fiber body for back section or maybe to motor depends on cost and weight savings

Have setup wiring so everything close(shorter is lighter) and easy access.

Well back to milling machine and cutting anything that can be cut to reduce weight
