Roo Man's Room / Steering turns issue
« on: January 05, 2014, 07:23:22 PM »
mine is a 68 cali rail with p-s box and spindles. it takes forever to make turns. when we visit different tracks, I always ask for a pass to see if we can make the turns at the end. right turn is not bad. left turn takes about 25% more. at Lebanon valley, left turn only, we had to do 2 k-turns to come back. any ideas w/out cutting it up?

Front Engine Dragsters / Steering link rod
« on: June 22, 2013, 06:28:24 PM »
192" w/b. from the pitman arm, I have two long shafts that go to the front. the front link, about 6' long, likes to bow way out when the car is slow moving on turns. do they make bigger diameter links or should I put another eye on like the first one goes thru?

Front Engine Dragsters / new fed guy
« on: February 02, 2013, 09:23:08 PM »
bought a 1968 192" fed out of cali over a yr ago. i will be the frankenstein guy here because i am running a 350 buick engine. why the frankenstein? the 350 is now 363. 283 chevy pistons, ford nascar rods with honda bearings, mopar intake modified to fit the 350 and whatever other parts it takes to make it work. have made a mopar single plane and a b&m blower setup. currently TRYING to make a 4-71 hapmton blower fit on the engine. lot of little issues to make things work. hopefully be done for testing when spring breaks.
